Heligan announces merger of Scanwel and Projectina

Heligan today announces the merger portfolio of companies Scanwel and Projectina, bringing together the businesses as the Scanwel Group, to create a specialist engineering, manufacturing and technology business serving the scientific, forensic and industrial markets.

Adam Bartlett has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Scanwel Group with effect from 1 January 2026. As part of this role, Adam will assume executive leadership responsibility for Projectina, taking over from Andy Archibald, who retired on 31 December 2025 following a planned transition period.  

Adam Bartlett, who is currently CEO of Scanwel, has been closely involved in integration planning and operational leadership across the group for several months.  From the start of the new year, Adam will lead the Scanwel Group and its constituent businesses, including Projectina, with a focus on operational integration and long-term value creation.

Andy Archibald stepped down from his role as CEO of Projectina on 31 December 2025, having led the business since 2021. Heligan would like to thank Andy for his leadership and commitment to the business during this period, and for his support in ensuring a smooth handover.
